Product Description
6× DNA loading buffer is used for the treatment of DNA samples before agarose gel electrophoresis or polyacrylamide agarose gel electrophoresis. The buffer components are optimized, and the dye solution includes indicator bromophenol blue and xylene cyanol FF, which can monitor the migration of DNA visually during electrophoresis. Glycerol ensures that the sample is aggregated at the bottom of the spot well; EDTA binds divalent metal ions and inhibits metal ion-dependent nucleases.
The components of 6× DNA loading buffer include: 30 mM EDTA, 36% (v/v) Glycerol, 0.05% (w/v) Xylene Cyanol FF, 0.05% (w/v) Bromophenol Blue.
Transportation and storage methods
Transport at room temperature. Store at 4℃ for 12 months, and at -20℃ for long term storage.
How to use
1) Add 1 volume of 6× DNA loading buffer to 5 volumes of DNA sample.
2) Mix thoroughly, centrifuge briefly, and then load the sample.
Dye migration rate (1 % agarose, TAE or TBE)
Xylene Cyanol FF:
TAE: 4160 bp; TBE: 3030 bp
Bromophenol blue:
TAE: 370 bp; TBE: 220 bp
